WhatsApp Introduces Ability to Authenicate Account With Email Address

An update rolling out to WhatsApp users will enable account verification via email address rather than just SMS.

According to WABetaInfo, the feature is now available to all users with the release of WhatsApp 23.24.70.

WhatsApp is now introducing an extra access method to their platform, enabling users to log into their accounts in situations where they may face temporary difficulties receiving the 6-digit code via SMS.


While users will still need a phone number to create an account, the added method of account verification is welcome for times when you are temporarily unable to get the 6-digit code via SMS.
