Apple has released a minor 4.4.2 firmware update for the Apple TV.
It's unclear if Apple has introduced any noticeable changes or if this just brings bug fixes. You can download the update from here.

I just updated and it reset my apple tv back to a very old firmware, that doesnt have anything but the initial internet apps. also, itunes movies and tv shows are not even an option on the main screen. although, it did fix an audio problem i had been having with one of the more recent updates
