Consumer Reports has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is its top rated smartphone. The device was said to deliver 'top-notch performance in the most critical areas' and dethrones the LG Optimus G which held the top spot for several months.
The S4 has an excellent 5-inch, high-definition (1080p) touch-screen display, as well as oodles of gesture- and sensor-based tools for accessing and sharing content you create and capture on your phone. The display is sensitive enough to use with gloves on—handy during cold weather.
A true multi-tasker, the S4 lets you run two apps simultaneously in a split-screen view. For instance, you can watch a video while checking e-mail, or you can use Google Maps and Messaging simultaneously. We did find that battery life and voice quality varied slightly between cell carriers, as with the LG Optimus G.
In January, Consumer Reports ranked the Samsung Galaxy S III, LG Optimus G, Motorola Droid Razr HD, and Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD as better smartphones than the iPhone 5.
More details can be found in the announcement linked below.
Apple, Samsung, Nokia and Windows phones can all do pretty much the same as the other. They just do it differently. Who cares about a duo core phone that can do what any other top phone on the market can do.
Give us a phone that last the entire day, and doesn't take at least an hour to charge, and you'll get my money.
Don't buy Samsung Products.Samsung is just flooding the market with different models.you will gt outdated faster in terms of OS and Hardware specs .within few weeks it will release water proof version of s4, then s5 s6 s7 within 1.5 years..
Consumer reports publish its reviews acording to how much the company pays them.... They just make me puke everytime they publish their results.... What a joke
It doesn't surprise me that it was rated #1 but that doesn't always equal sales and it doesn't mean that everyone will drop their current phones just to buy it. I have owned an S3 and traded it for an iPhone 5 simply because I love apps and Android still can't catch up in regards to that. Half of those features on the S4 I either don't need or can't even use where I am so at the end of the day it goes back to customer preference. We buy simply what we want and not based on what is awarded as #1.
I don't think so it is the world best phone because 5 inch screen doesn't operate with one hand . Second , it become over heated when you attend call , hard to keep one side long time . In my sight , it size should be 4.5 . It's quite enough
