O Mini Dock Connector possuí um anel de metal parecido com o MagSafe? [Photo]

Um foto da entrada do novo Mini Dock Connector mostra um anel de metal que poderá funcionar como mecanismo magnético, para ligar o cabo ao iPhone.

O iLounge reportou recenetemente que "a nova ligação ao iPhone iria ser inovada, incluindo a possibilidade do iPhone ser ligado às docks e ao cabo em qualquer orientação (tal como o MagSafe).".

A Nowehereelse.fr publicou hoje uma foto (que poderá ser vista abaixo) que mostra um anel de metal no interior da portar que concorda com esta suposição.


Algumas referências no iOS 6 também revelaram que o Mini Dock Connector tem 9 pins ao contrário dos 19 ou 8 que pensávamos que teria.

Is it just me who has an issue with the iPhone/ iPod syncing cables where they break on the ends and eventually just stop working.. Why don't they fix this?

What signals we have in 9 prins connector? For USB 4 pins,an other 5 for audio ,device detection and video signals?

How cares how many pins it has? All we know is that existing connectors will be obsolete.
