I can't speak for apple maps, but I use waze all the time and I recommend it to all my friends and co-workers, they all love it as well.

What's the big friggin' deal? Without turn-by-turn directions, Google Maps wasn't particular usable anyway. It isn't like we lost anything with its elimination.

Huge mistake updating to iOS6, there's nothing new I like, YouTube and Google maps gone.
Steve Jobs was what made Apple, hopefully Scott Forstall and Jonathan Ive can save iOS 7.
Making Cook CEO was stupid.

Steve Jobs would never have let this happen. He would have used his reality distortion field and say something like: Apple Maps isn't broken or bad, you don't know how to use it...but alas enis gone and now we have Tim Cook apologizing unnecessarily for a product that works well, but needs sine-tuning...
