My friends asked me, can I jailbreak my ( ). If you have an iphone5 no. And they walk away probably not caring about jail breaking.
I donate when the jailbreak is available and my devices are jail broken, not sooner.
This time around I switched services and upgraded to the ip5.
I was hoping ios6 jailbreak for new devices would be available relatively soon.
From the sounds if it, it most likely won't be. With this news I have chosen to upgrade the iPads and my son's phone to ios6.
As time goes on there will be less an less iOS 5.x on phones and iPads. The community will shrink until extinction. Apple wins and true innovation loses

Apple loses in the end. Millions of users uses apple for its JB abilities. Without it, people will jump ship..I'm one who has stayed with Apple from the beginning. Now, I am considering going somewhere else. ;(
Android has improved since the beginning..Sad to say..

To the developers, yes. To the developers that create the jailbreaks, no. If you want me to donate release the jailbreak first. Before you misunderstand the "release the jailbreak first": I honestly don't care how long it takes, but begging or asking for donations to progress the jailbreak further won't get anything from the community. Some people already realized this, but some are clueless and donate anyways.

Isn't this the same shit as usual? The only thing they talk about is the history of jailbreaking, how to create a jailbreak, how to do this and that, and other shit. The only thing worth looking forward to is the upcoming new tweaks. The jailbreak isn't worth listening to anymore. It's the same shit as usual: developers announce a jailbreak, beg for donations, take their sweet time completing the jailbreak until they get enough donations, etc.

The thing you are talking about that they talk about shit...are useful information for new iPhone users. I too find it as useless but the one who had made a purchase recently will find it very useful.

The new iPhone users don't even know about JailbreakCon. I bet you that the majority are software developers for Cydia. More like 99% are software developers.

i agree with you that new users are not aware of jailbreakcon, so according to you what they should discuss? The conclusion they will get will be differ than they discussed in whole jailbreakcon. Actually i totally agree with you that new users will not be aware of this con. Lets hope they will come up with iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak, i am exicted to update my iOS.

Nothing worth listening to. The only thing I could think of is the upcoming tweaks. The rest are usual stuff they talk about. They need to bring the "wow" back in JailbreakCon. The first announcement of JailbreakCon was the "wow" and it was worth listening to developers talk about their tweaks/ideas/jailbreaks/etc. After that it wasn't worth paying for it.
