Facebook today released a new 'Facebook Poke' app for the iPhone.

As rumored, the app operates similar to Snapchat and lets the user send a photo to another user which is only be viewable for a short time.

Poke your friends to share fun moments or just say hello.

• Press and hold to see pokes from friends
