LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner just gave an iPad Mini to each of the company's 3500 employees, reports BusinessInsider.

A spokesperson told the site, "We wanted to acknowledge the hard work and accomplishments of all of our employees in 2012. During today’s biweekly All Hands meeting, we surprised our employees with iPad Minis as a small gesture of the company’s gratitude for their contributions."

Notably, the iPads weren't the low-end 16GB models but rather the $429 32GB models which would have cost around $1.5 million at retail pricing.

LinkedIn recently reported a great quarter beating expectations by $25 million.
