Check out this comparison chart of old iOS 6 icons versus the new iOS 7 icons.
The chart was created by @pawsupforu and features twenty four icons that Apple has redesigned for its new operating system.
Now that you can see them side by side, what do you think?

The iOS7 version looks so dull. It's like Apple is trying too hard to look simple, then it just ends up looking more cartoonish rather than professional or something like that. I'm getting an iPhone soon, so if the official iOS7 would still look like that (because I've heard that this isn't the official one), I'll be sticking with iOS6.

Just jailbreak icons or wait until they install the on off switch for flat icons!

Totally. I personally HATE these new icons. the old ones were so much more realistic, these seem cartoonish.

Instead of worry how it looks, why not worry how it functions? Better yet, write some code and get in on the massive amount of new user base Apple just gained.

Don't like the new look. It's like moving backwards rather than forward.

Please tell me this will include an option to change the icon texture from flat to style in the settings menu, then iOS 7 is all set, who's w/ me?

iOS 7 is complete shit. I really hope this isn't the direction Apple is going for.

I am amazed that Apple went the same way that everyone else - for the flat look. Would it have been natural direction to take the current ones further and make them like SUPER REALISTIC - like Photorealistic? That would have been leap forward - now its just another trendy-flat-design that really wont handle the presure of time.
Sorry #APPLE - this one was FAIL. Dont get me wrong - the new design looks trendy, nice and clean but Apple never been follower, but leader so following others direction was not the thing expected from innovative company like them.

It's about coming into the 21st Century. The original icons were complicated and only so because they could. New ones are clear and simple. Similar with International Traffic signs compared to US ones. It's because of isolation on a big island. Think of other US innovations such as NTSC, first but left behind.
