Evolution of the iOS Home Screens [Graphic]

Check out this graphic showing how the iOS home screen has evolved since Apple first released the iPhone.

It appears the image was first created by iAnatomija and posted to reddit by iKurac. We've tweaked it slightly to remove a Cydia icon that was included by mistake.

is it just me or did anyone else notice that iOS 6 is the only one that gets poor reception

Not changed much at all over the years! I guess good design never grows old! At the same time I would like to see more innovation than just more colourful icons.
