So I updated and now it's shows the connect to iTunes logo and the led is blinking rapidly. I've unplugged and did a reset via the remote with no luck. Others are having the same issue. Anyone got an idea to fix this?

Same here. Just do what it says and connect it to your iTunes machine with a micro USB and it will wipe it and reload with new iOS. It did this to both of mine, Gen2 and Gen3. Sucks but the Bluetooth setup is nice! ;)
