Apple is working on an update that will fix an issue that could cause the new 13-inch MacBook Pro's keyboard and trackpad to become unresponsive, according to a new knowledge base article.
Symptoms Apple is aware of rare circumstances where the built-in keyboard and Multi-Touch trackpad may become unresponsive on 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display (Late 2013) computers and is working on an update to resolve this behavior.
Resolution If you experience this issue, reset the keyboard and trackpad by closing the computer’s display for approximately one minute and then open it.

It's been happening to me with my MBP 13'' (Early 2011). They need to fix it, it doesn't seem an hardware issue :X

This happened to me a long time ago with my Macbook Pro, after the third time they replaced my keyboard and trackpad they never fixed it and just gave me a new computer. 3 months later an update appeared that supposedly fixed the problem but I never got to know if that update worked or not, apparently not.

This has been happening to me with my macbook pro non-retina mid 2012. So its not only this model.
