Mobiledevhq says that is 8x the change they normally see. When looking at their 30,000 keyword sample taken daily, 40% of all apps that ranked for those keywords changed at least 20 ranking positions. iPad apps had an average ranking change of 20.8 positions which is not as high as the iPhone but still four times more than usual.
Even the "head" keywords which typically don’t see much change saw notable movement. Take a look at the charts below to see ranking change for 'banking', 'music', and 'home' for iPhone, and 'travel' for iPad.
