my jailbreak also looks like it's running fine but I'm taking no chances I'm going to do it all over on 4 different devices and I'm doing it all starting now because if I find that something is wrong and 7.1 is out then I'm screwed, and that my advice to all you guys, unless you want to cry later about if anybody have a fix.

if you have the bundled package lists, no need to rejailbreak. Only ned to rejailbreak if the bundled package lists is missing.

I still don't understand what this update is for? My Cydia works fine. I can press refresh and all the files get updated. The only problem I have is having to many sources and the problem apt exceeded issues shows up, but I'm able to fix it by removing some sources. Can somebody clarify if this update will fix that issues?

I think this is for people who have problem with cydia files. One way to fix was to use Icleaner to erase the cydia files to force a fresh update.

I dont think so. I tried doing that and the jailbreak setup told me that its not recomended to jailbreak an already jailbroken device so i guess we need to do everything again ......

Can the jailbreak be applied if I updated ota?

NO it can not be applied with an OTH update.
Backup up everything on your device with Itunes.
Do a fresh install of the Ios on a computer.
Then Jailbreak.
Don't forget to restore the backup...

Don't listen to wizard. He answered about backups. I'll answer it this way. Don't ever update your phone OTA. I've read that when you update OTA it takes more memory up then doing the update through iTunes. Plus for jsilbreak it's always through iTunes.
Have no fear though. You should be able to do a restore with iTunes and then jailbreak it.
