As predicted, Apple has released a new 8GB iPhone 5c internationally; however, it's not yet available in the United States.
The new 8GB iPhone 5c is currently selling in various international Apple Stores including the U.K., China, Australia, and other European countries. In the U.K. it sells for £429 unlocked -- a difference of £40 compared to the 16GB model.
It is possible that the iPhone 5c will appear on the US and Canadian Apple Stores later today. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS to find out if/when Apple launches the iPhone 5c in the U.S.

8GB is not enough anymore for a smartphone, i think. Also the price difference is again almost insignificant.

8GB is more than enough for those who use cloud services like Photo Streams and iTunes Match, if your carrier offers good coverage and nice data plans.
Also, 40£ might sound too little for some people, but it is a HUGE deal for some...
For example, 40£ equals R$ 156 (that is Brazilian Reais, or BRL, if you will). Brazilian Minimum Wage is R$ 724 (roughtly 185£). Here, the difference alone accounts for 21.6% of the acceptable minimum wage, which is a huge deal. And we are talking about pure and straight values, with no taxes applied.
Also, I hate how iClarified strips our line carriages between paragraphs...
