Heathrow Says Samsung is Being 'Tongue-in-Cheek', Terminal 5 Signage Has Not Changed

Heathrow has issued a statement on the Samsung announcement that it is taking over the 'signage, wayfinding, website and every single digital screen' in Terminal 5.

"Heathrow Terminal 5’s signage and passenger wayfinding has not changed," a Heathrow spokesperson told iClarified. "Samsung have rented advertising space in Terminal 5 with a tongue-in-cheek campaign using the line: 'Terminal Samsung Galaxy 5S'."

Contrary to the original press release, it appears that Samsung's ad campaign is more typical in nature and won't be a rebranding of the airport terminal.

If you've snapped a picture of the new ads, send us a tip!

In the UK, corporations and groups are considered "plural" for some reason, even though to me it doesn't make sense to me grammatically. As in "Apple are" instead of "Apple is". Not really sure why.

Britons love group pronouns. As in "the class are," instead of "the class is." Both are correct.
