After initial signs pointed towards a good chance that iOS 8 was jailbreakable, Stefan Esser (i0n1c), tweeted an image that shows off the ability to SSH into an iPod touch running iOS 8 from his Mac.
I just leave this here ...
I0n1c demoed his jailbreak of iOS 7.1.1 last month. He has yet to confirm whether he will release a public jailbreak; however, it would make logical sense to wait until iOS 8 is officially released so as to not burn any exploits.

There is no incentive to release for 7.1.1 as it would likely burn the exploits needed for iOS 8. This particular dev is showing for proof of concept and has no intention to release a public jailbreak. He's auditioning for private contracts only. He's not showing his work to you, he's showing it to them.

This is good news. 7.1.1 won't be jailbroken because why would you lose the exploits? It just makes sense. And what's the point of jailbreaking? Really?

I wish someone could do an alternative OS for iPhone. The HW is nice, very nice.... but the sandboxed Apple crap iOS sucks. If JB it is OK, but just OK.
My dream would be a linux based version on the iPhone :)

It always amazes me why people get upset when a beta version of ios is in testing and people want debs to release a JB for the latest or last version of an ios (6.1.3/7.1, etc)

I'm using the GS5 myself, but dude, you gotta relax. A phone is a phone. Some have advantages on others, that's a fact. No phones are perfect but bashing another brand like that is just wrong.

Apple has learned a lot from the jailbreak community so it makes sense to keep the exploits open. You should know how they work. They let everybody make mistakes and then learn from the issues they have.

Yes they have learn a lot from jailbreaks. But it won't just help releasing it right now. If he does, it will be blocked and this won't help our community. Stay calm and wait. Last days are dangerous
