The photos show the display attached to a ruler that indicates a screen with a diagonal measurement of approximately 14cm. That 14cm converts to the 5.5-inches heavily rumored for the next-generation Apple smartphone. While these photos do not provide us with any breakthrough information about the new iPhone, the photos, at best, do show that Apple is already producing components for the larger sized phone and this means that production is likely nearing.
Jimmy Lin, a Taiwanese media star and race car driver, posted a photo recently of what is allegedly the 5.5-inch iPhone 6.
A report from UDN also claimed (contradicting previous reports) that Apple's sapphire production was low and that only the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 model would get a sapphire crystal display. It will allegedly be made in limited quantities resulting in shortages during 2014.
In May, a purported LCD backlight panel for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 was leaked. You can check that one out here.
