A team of Chinese hackers have released Pangu, an untethered jailbreak of iOS 7.1.1.
Currently a jailbreak utility is only available for Windows. We will be testing the jailbreak and providing instructions on how to jailbreak your device if the release is legitimate.
The team credits i0n1c training for the infoleak bug. I0n1c has said, "if pangu team releases a public jailbreak with vulnerabilities disclosed to them during my training I consider this in no way okay."
Update: We have confirmed that the utility does in fact jailbreak you device; however, we have yet to confirm whether there are any security risks to performing the jailbreak. Please do not install it until we have confirmed it is safe to do so.
Update x2: iH8Sn0w confirms that there is no spyware. "Aside from the piracy store and enterprise certificate… The http://pangu.io jailbreak does not have “spyware” or malicious trails."
Download Pangu 1.0 for Windows from here. We will be posting jailbreak instructions shortly.
Piracy Warning: There is a checkbox in the utility. If you leave it checked, a piracy app store will be installed. You should uncheck the box before attempting a jailbreak.
It's important that you follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates. You could also install the free iClarified app from the App Store!

Was there a problem with the installation that made you say you wanted to get cydia back?

The Pangu Jailbreak contains malware... Upon jailbreaking my iPhone 5S 7.1.1 with Pangu, my Orange Spain card is reporting that I am trying to send text messages, but fortunately I don't have any credit left, so no text messages are not sent. All I can say is that I receive Orange notifications to try again to send the text after I've re-charged the balance on my card. I've received so far 100s of these notices from the GSM operator. I switched the sim card to an iPhone 5S that is not jailbroken on firmware 7.1.1 and these notifications don't come anymore. People check your SMS usage, Pangu is definitely doing something there.

I apologize if this is a double post. Do I need to change a default SSH password once I jailbreak?

Yes it is a good idea if you do change the ssh passwords for both the root and the user file systems if it is jailbroken, otherwise people can get into your phone easily.

Now there is a rumor that the jailbreak is safe for the phone but not for the PC, there are talks about malware or virus danger using it so my advice is don't use your own PC, in fact my advice is to wait a couple of days for our hackers to check every line of code in this Chinese jailbreak. You waited so long what's another 2 days?

THIS IS THE MOST WORST PANGU JAILBREAK FOR IOS 7.1.1 EVER EVEN THOUGH ITS IN JAPANESE AND I THINK ITS USELESS TO USE.

Actually at the time of your post, it was but now it is not the only pangu jailbreak. There is v1.0.0 and v1.1.0.

We are covering this in our tutorial which is almost ready. That means you waited too long to tap the Pangu icon that was added to your SpringBoard.

I did it! The trick is to leave the Settings app in order to "spawn" pangu app!

Wait.... iClarified - Question for you.
- Would this be the same set of "Chinese Hackers" that created the back door exploit "Taig" that Geohot was dealing with????? To me, it's only a matter of time until we start reading the headlines....
Your thoughts?

Apple won´t be able to patch iOS 7.12 before its release, so my bet is that it also works on iOS 7.12

I think i8sn0w said that he is checkIng for malware and that he will wait till Friday to jailbreak right before 7.1.2 will be out even so I'm sure that this jailbreak will also work on 7.1.2 with a tiny change. Apple are not going to do any more changes on 7.1.2 just like the 7.0.0 jailbreak works all the way till 7.0.6

jamesgryffindor99 - June 23, 2014 at 6:10pm
It works great on my iPad 2 running 7.1.1!

Very stupid but it's not our Evad3r team jailbreak so I wouldn't be worried about an iOS 8 jailbreak, they will creat one for us and without any malware in it.
