Apple is already preparing an iOS 8.0.1 update that brings fixes for Phone, Keyboard, Safari, Sharing and VPN, reports MacRumors.
Back in early September, it was reported that Apple had been preparing to seed testing partners with the firmware update, ahead of the public release of iOS 8. It seems as though the update was seeded and now we have some details on what it fixes.
Reported Fixes: - Phone: Addresses bugs with call forwarding and freezing when accessing visual voicemail - Keyboard: Fixes an issue with keypad not appearing to enter iCloud Keychain verification codes - Safari: Fixes a problem with videos occasionally not playing - Sharing: Fixes AirDrop support for Passbook passes - VPN: Addresses an issue with installing VPN profiles
It's likely that the update will also address other problems that users of iOS 8 have faced. A release date is not yet known; however, you can follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.

iOS 8 messages search engine doesn't work properly. Rather doesn't work at all. Not for the contact in messages neither for the content of the message

I hope they fix the volume issue on the iphone 6 plus, where you can barely hear the person you are talking to without using headphone. Nearly impossible to talk with just the phone to your ear.

The most important issue not fixed? App Store connection failed / download & update apps on iOS 8. It's impossible to update or download any app after the iOS 8 update. Are you hearing me, Apple?

Hey David, is English your first language? Try restoring your phone for something may have bugged out on your latest update. It happens (not often) but it does for its still software.

Nope, English is not my native language indeed, I'm Frenchie... lol (nobody is perfect). Well, already restored the network prefs, already restored the complete iPhone with iTunes & USB cable... Applied all tips & tricks I can find on the net... Many users are impacted by this bug. I called Apple Care today, the agent said Apple is aware about it, so maybe the 8.0.1 will fix it or the App Store will be updated. The agent said: wait 3-4 days.

Just days after release, now with problems already? This is quite disappointing.

With millions of users and they find the bugs, they fix it right away. It's called responsible business and customer care. What does Android do? Well you can always erase your phone as usual so that it is not a brick (and lose all your data) or wait a few weeks for a refurbished phone from your carrier. I know this first hand!

Good because as much as I like it, it keeps freezing and I have to press the home button. Also the keyboard sometimes doesn't work properly in landscape mode. It's also a bit slower and I'm on 5S.

My iPhone 4S got slow like a turtle after upgradig to iOS 8. Some silly bugs are still since beta releases! I am far from regretful doing this upgrade... And I am pretty sure that Apple won't fix 4S for motivating the consumers buying the iPhone 6.

You are absolutely wrong, restore via iTunes and your phone will work like a charm.

Not surprising. I am hoping that the dot release will be the catalyst for the Jailbreak community to get moving. No point burning an exploit when they already know the next release is not far behind the first.

I also hope they fix the bug where you can tell how far a video has buffered in the scrubbing bar. So sick of videos freezing because I can't tell how far they've buffered...

StewartG - September 23, 2014 at 4:22pm
Yes, this too. Videos freezing even when on fast wi Fi.

Either this will fix iClarified app or it's the app doing it.

the app is in review currently, according to iclarified.
