Designer Martin Hajek has posted a new set of renderings that imagine what the iPad 2 Air would look like if Apple modeled it after the iPhone 6.

What if the new iPad’s were to borrow the design language from the iPhone6/6+? Not sure if I would like this though – the plastic bands on the iPhone 6 just feel … well…too plastic-ey to me.

i think they should have made the iPhone 6 look like the iPad air

Great idea. Make a phone into a tablet, then it will fit in pockets, be held with one hand no matter how we use it, and best of all have the power button to the side and call the 9.7" device the iphone.

Why not? Though I think the plastic bands will not be there because it was only necessary on the phones to separate the antennae signal. Bendgate, no. There will be plenty of room to have vertical elongated ridge along the battery line to fortify the chassis. I am getting one for sure

It would basically mean iPhablet 6 and 6 plus for the larger one.
