Jailbreak of iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.2 Beta Released!

Posted November 29, 2014 at 7:07am by iClarified
A jailbreak of iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.2 beta has just been released by TaiG.

MuscleNerd confirmed the jailbreak over Twitter; however, he warns that you should probably wait a couple days before attempting.

Looks like TaiG just released a jailbreak for 8.1.1 (and 8.0,8.1,8.2beta). Best to wait a few days just in case

TaiG was part of the controversial iOS 7 jailbreak from the Evad3rs. The jaibreak included the TaiG 'app store' for cracked apps by default in China. Following an outcry from the community the evad3rs responded by updating their jailbreak tool to remove TaiG. They also posted a letter to the community saying "we are deeply sorry and embarrassed about the piracy that was seen today".

It's unclear what comes bundled with the TaiG jailbreak that has just been released. We are looking into it and will update this article shortly. It's also unclear as to who is actually behind the exploits used for the jailbreak.

If the jailbreak proves legitimate and safe, we will be posting tutorials shortly!

Update:
It appears as though the jailbreak is only for Windows at this time.

Update 2:
You can download the TaiG jailbreak from here.

Tutorials:

They release a JB for a "beta" ios version? What are these people thinking? Oh well, at least they aren't driving while they do this.

They did NOT release a jailbreak for a beta version. They released a jailbreak for 8.1.1 that also happens to work on the 8.2 beta.

I just learned that Pangu is definitely a product of the PRC government. on very credible authority that I can't go into. I kind of thought it was funny that it included a tool to reset the root password but now I know for sure. makes me wonder about TaIG too.

Please elaborate as to present a credible voice of what you are saying otherwise it's just pointless speculation and a conspiracy driven fear. (Although I will admit had wondered the same thing my self)

it's the internet and I don't care if you think I'm lying. I simply had a discussion with a relative at our thanksgiving get-together. all I'm willing to say is that he works in DC with some interesting security clearances and burns through several phones a month. again, I can't give you any more than that and I'm deeply unconcerned if you or anyone else here thinks I'm bullshitting. it's enough to me that I learned something important over this holiday and your skepticism doesn't change that. have a nice day.

Why release for 8.2 beta.. Why not wait till GM?

iProService - November 29, 2014 at 8:06am
They must have a deep pocket of exploits to burn.
