SquareTrade has put the bendability of the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to the test comparing it to the iPhone 6 Plus and the HTC One M9.
The iPhone 6 Plus bent under 110 lbs of pressure and reached its breaking point at 179 lbs. The HTC One M9 bent at 120 lbs but that is also when it broke because the power button was located at the center of the device. When the device bent the power button stopped working.
The new Galaxy S6 Edge bent at 110 lbs of pressure but unlike the iPhone 6 Plus, its display cracked at this point. The display was still working so SquareTrade kept bending and found that it broke apart entirely at 149 lbs.
SquareTrade says that for those concerned about bending the Galaxy S6 Edge may be worse than the iPhone 6 Plus.
"For Samsung fans it may be worse, instead of a bent phone they make have a pocket full of glass."
