Apple has given an Apple Watch with a special unannounced gold Link Bracelet to Karl Lagerfeld, a German fashion designer, artist, and photographer based in Paris. Lagerfeld, is the head designer and creative director of the fashion house Chanel as well as the Italian house Fendi and his own label fashion house.
Apple offers the Link Bracelet in Stainless Steel and Space Black; however, it does not currently offer a version of the bracelet in gold. Notably, Daring Fireball's John Gruber predicted we would see a gold Link Bracelet back in February.
Glaringly omitted is a gold Link Bracelet. I’d place a side bet Apple withheld it in September, and will unveil it as a surprise option at the event they’ll hold before releasing the watches. If you’re going to go gold, go gold. Some people buy a gold watch simply because they like it. Others buy a gold watch because they want everyone to know they wear a gold watch. The latter group will gladly pay $20,000 for a watch with gold band.
It's curious that Apple didn't unveil the band as a surprise option in March; however, now that it's out there, those who can afford a gold watch will likely want one. Gruber believes Apple will eventually sell the gold bracelet for $30-40K.
Take a look at the bracelet in the photo below. The photo was taken by Lagerfeld's assistant Sebastien Jondeau.

It still looks tacky—I've seen watches with the same "feel" on the $20 rack.
For a fashion guru, this guy has a poor sense of style.
Still, if it was a $40,000 Apple freebie, I understand why he grabbed it despite being a gazillionaire. Greed trumps style every time.

With gold on anything, is shines out style especially with Rolex going with the straps. It's not a guru at all even from what the awards the watch says for! This guy has his way with style, including me, and you, but over a watch?! Greed is what drives style to be good for a reason even if you see it bad!

Kar Lagerfelds net worth is 125 million. Why do the ultra rich get these things for free like they can't afford them. While the common folk has to pay a premium for a basic model.

Such extravagance when so many people are hungary.
Also as a side note his dress sense is ridiculous.

Hopefully these bands are reusable with next gen Apple Watch. Otherwise it'll become outdated expensive gadget.

Why wouldn't it be? Most apple products in the past before the ones now or up to this day have had the same design such as iPad 2-4 and MacBook Air/Pro. But even if the straps aren't, I doubt it will be obselete!
