Comex has just posted a video of a web browser running on the Apple Watch.
The hacker tweeted, "I always wanted a web browser on my wrist."
At this point it's unclear how comex was able to get the browser running on the smartwatch, as this isn't something currently permitted by Apple. Perhaps he was able to load UIKit into WatchOS. Or, perhaps he has jailbroken the Apple Watch!
Take a look at the video below and please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
Update: Comex let us know that "Watch OS is based on UIKit already, but the SDK doesn’t allow running any native code." How he was able to get past the SDK's restrictions is still a mystery but we'll let you know when we hear more!

Awesome job Comex, proven point that jailbroken i-anything makes it better than out of the box. Responsive and non responsive websites will of course in the future also be available for watches as they are now already available for desktops/laptops, tablets and phones/phablets. But it will probably be a few generations before I personally will find the iWatch worthy of buying in functionality, stability and quality for the price they are being sold. Just like I found no iPhone worth buying until the 4S.

Back to the GPRS day with watch pages... Haha everything is a circle ;-) Great breakthrough, altho I think it's just a way of saying "I broke in" before anyone else does, it gives hope for a jailbroken watch in the future and that is priceless!
