This stainless steel Apple Watch with Link Bracelet belonging to reddit user Ljohnson72 was gold plated with 18K gold.
We've already seen some photos of the just the Apple Watch gold plated in 24K gold; however, Ljohnson72 decided to go with 18K for a more muted look. In addition, he had his stainless steel link bracelet gold plated as well.
The gold plating was done by verygoodplating.com. Their rates are $499 for the watch and $249 for the link bracelet.

I still prefer a real watch. Apple watch golf plated or not is nothing more than a toy watch. Next year will be outdated and replaced.

Talking from experience there obviously. No? No, you're talking as someone who doesn't own an Apple Watch and therefore from a position of ignorance. Clearly.

I don't think you understand the people who are buying the edition. for people who never wear watches worth less than $10,000, buying anything other than the edition will be considered too low. $10,000 may seem like a lot of money to a lot of us, but for them it's really just nothing. it's what they lose in 10 minutes in Las Vegas. for this class of people, buying the edition not only makes sense, but is the only option.

actually there are expensive brands of phones that these people use. (e.g Vertu, GoldVish) although most of them will likely be carrying an iPhone as well.

Since the Apple Watch requires an iPhone to work, they'll all need one. They'll be carrying two phones then. "Excuse me, James, will you touch my iPhone for me? It's too cheap for me to use with my bare hands."
