Amazon has stopped selling the Apple TV and Google Chromecast just as the fourth generation Apple TV hits stores.
The reason for the ban? Here's what Amazon had to say...
"Over the last three years, Prime Video has become an important part of Prime," Amazon said. "It’s important that the streaming media players we sell interact well with Prime Video in order to avoid customer confusion."
The Apple TV 4 is now available to purchase from Apple Stores and Best Buy.

No Kodi, No Apple TV - Free country and Amazon can ditch any product(s) they wish. If u don't like lit, go to eBay. It's not like only Amazon in this WWW.

Do you have any idea? Amazon Fire tv and stick is three times powerful then Apple TV. They are using dual wifi for the connection. There processor is so much faster then any other comparator in the market except only Roku. Apple is way behind on this technology. They allow third party apps which help you cut your tv cord for good.

The iPhone isn't the most powerful in terms of spec but it still generates the most profit.

What are you talking about? Even if what you're saying is true; why does Amazon feel the need to play dirty and not sell the competitors product? If theirs is so great, why do they have to stop selling ATV and redirect search queries to something the customer didn't search for? I have an issue with this because Amazon is, first an foremost, a retailer. Their original function was to be an online warehouse of "everything"; a one stop shop. Now all of a sudden, they've decided they also want to be a tech company and so they create their own products and refuse to sell competitors' versions of these products. That just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and it makes me not want to shop with them if I can't be sure I can buy the things I want there soley because they make their own version of it. Amazon needs to decide; are you a retailer first and foremost, or are you a Silicon Valley tech company?

So.. If we are trying to avoid confusion, when someone searches for "Apple TV" and are sold a fire instead, is that not merchant misdirection right there? Let the customer choose. If they choose fire, great, but if they choose Apple TV or chrome, Amazon can still make a commission on it so why not sell it.

Because apple bully they don't allow Amazon stuff due to there competitor and they are scare of failure of Apple TV. Even took out all music paid app from App Store. I paid for music app and now I can not download on other device since they took away from the App Store and my account. This is the way Apple works. I own all my product from Apple but now I slowly changing to other company.

Apple isn't behind on technology. Amazon just has more stuff in it for how big it is and involves their OS to work better in most ways. Apple TV only failed before this next generation was revealed because of not updating it. I still love it. Jaiobreak is yet to come.

Amazon is way bigger then Apple in terms of e-commerce channel. You can find anything on Amazon. They are way superior then Apple.

There is a bigger world out there than Apple. With Apple TV can you cut your cable cord? Can you watch all world channel free and cut your cable cord? Answer is NO.

gamerscul9870 - November 3, 2015 at 12:22pm
My entire family did cut the cord because they have all the shows they watched and lived back when their was cable and are now satisfied. Even I did. This all depends on what Apple TV offers. It may not have all the channels and shows, but if it's enough to have, then you have all you need. At least Apple still continues to add more and more.

It's a false reason because now, they can create an Amazon app that supports prime videos (except for the old generations of course).

Good for them. It's stupid that Chromecast and and the Apple TV don't have Prime video.

gamerscul9870 - October 30, 2015 at 7:40pm
Not really. It means less for them to sell and make money off of, not to mention Apple TV jailbroken does have that, but just wait for Apple TV 4 to eventually get it once it becomes an app made for it!

It's Amazon's choice not to make Prime for the Apple TV and they've always shunned Android. It's their own fault.
