T-Mobile Tells Customers Not to Install iOS 10

Posted September 15, 2016 at 7:24pm by iClarified
T-Mobile is telling its customers not to install iOS 10 due to an issue with the new operating system that causes devices to lose connection to the carrier's network.

CEO John Legere tweeted the following message to customers:

Apple is working to resolve the issue with iOS10 for @TMobile customers. Don't download iOS10 if you currently use an iPhone 5SE, 6 or 6+

This is a separate issue from the one that was initially bricking devices that performed an OTA update.

I have both AT&T and Verizon in Las Vegas. Hands down, AT&T beats Verizon. I got my Verizon phone for work and it's crap when it comes to signal. Everywhere I've travelled so far it's either lower in signal quality or simply congested. Without Wifi Calling, Verizon at home in NW Vegas would be useless.

I have T-Mobile and I have iOS10 on my 6S. No problems at all. They can be s little choppy sometimes but so can all companies. I've had them all. At least in Manhattan and surroundings. I'm all good.

Is this a good time to once again say how much I love the new Apple Music?? It's awesome!! So organized it just makes more sense to me. An now you have the option to download when you add music. Plus the font is now adjusted like the rest of the phone. I need larger font. Love iOS10 but especially the Apple music part. Great job Apple!!! Go ahead haters. Hate.

I'm going to cancel T-mobile - Last year VOLTE was down for almost a day - This year a couple more outage for 2-3 hours each - SMS delivery delays or not deliver at all - Coverage sucks - Data is congested, some places no data at all with full LTE reception

Where I live AT&T is the only carrier with a good signal. Simple as that. The others are not an option.

I actually love iOS 10 Game Center or not. I never really saw a point for it when earning points.

SmFh, they say this 3 days after release? I had network issues since hours into downloading iOS10. And reported it but nothing was done.

Don't know what market do you live but I don't have any contract with them. Maybe T-Mobile is better someplace else, but not here in Chicago

This is why a very first iOS update of a whole new version isn't going to turn out right and that we can't expect that right away. I wait until at least the next update or 2.

I agree. Its funny how mad people get too. Even with betas being released, there will always be bugs. Thats coding and if people don't get that then they shouldn't own technology. Plus its so easy to unbrick an iPhone
