Apple's new redesigned iPhone may be called the 'iPhone Edition', according to a new report from Macotakara.

The site notes that the device will be a premium model that is suitable for use alongside the Apple Watch Edition. Apple is said to be testing numerous prototypes and has yet to settle on a design.

There are multiple prototype models, and development is continued in parallel with the engineering verification test (Engineering Verification Test). In addition to the glass enclosure, the aluminum enclosure, the white ceramic enclosure, IPS TFT, There are possibilities that various models such as AMOLED, models with home buttons, models without home buttons, etc. have been developed at the level close to the product.

Macotakara claims the only features decided are: a 5-inch display, dual camera, wireless charging, and Lightning connector. It's unclear if the site is referring to the 5.8-inch screen with 5.15-inches of actual display area previously rumored.

While the 'iPhone Edition' will be unveiled at the same time as the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, the device will allegedly be released much later. This corroborates some other recent reports that have suggested production may not start until September.
