Microsoft has announced that iTunes is coming to the Windows Store by the end of the year. The company made the announcement at Build and on Twitter earlier today.

iTunes is a frequently used app and thus makes a nice addition to the Windows Store which still has a ways to go in terms of selection.

Let's hope being available on the Windows Store doesn't somehow affect the quality of the Mac version. I know it's a remote chance, but still a concern for some users.

There is already an iTunes for Windows, but it's a direct download from Apple. This simply changes where iTunes will be available for Windows users. It should have no effect on other platforms.
