Uber has announced that tipping is now available in Seattle, Minneapolis and Houston with more cities coming over the next few weeks. Tips will be available to all U.S. drivers, by the end of July 2017.

The new feature is part of Uber's '180 Days Of Change'.

For the next 180 days (and beyond) we’ll be making meaningful changes to your driving experience. Some changes will be big, some will be small — all will be the changes you’ve asked for. Each month for the next 6 months, we’ll share meaningful changes that will make driving more flexible and less stressful, giving you earnings & support you can depend on.

How it works
As soon as tipping becomes available in your city, you’ll be notified in your Uber Driver app and by email. To start accepting tips from riders 1) update or download the latest version of the Uber Driver app 2) close and restart your app 3) tap Accept Tips.
