KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes it's unlikely that Apple will have the development resources to launch a new iPhone SE in 2Q18 as rumored.

DigiTimes analyst Luke Lin recently reported that Apple was planning to unveil a new iPhone SE with wireless charging in May or June; however, Kuo doesn't think Apple has enough resources available. TrendForce also predicted a second generation iPhone SE for launch this year.

I just love my SE, perfect size, perfect phone for me I will wait on it until Apple release SE2, since 7, 8 or X dont fit nice with me. Sorry but I love original iPhone Size.

The SE model is attractive for those people that want a iPhone but may not necessarily need or can afford the top flagship features so it’s a nice entry point I doubt it will have a major overhaul this year
