The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus have topped the iPhone X to become the best selling smartphones in April, reports Counterpoint.

According to research from Counterpoint's Market Pulse, sales of the Galaxy S9 series have improved, driven by performance in APAC (Asia Pacific) and NAM (North America). The iPhone X now sits in third followed by the iPhone 8 Plus and then the iPhone 8.

Highlights:
● Apple declined month on month due to seasonality. Apple continues to dominate the global best-selling smartphone models occupying five spots in the list.
● Demand of Apple iPhone 7 remains strong in APAC and NAM regions.
● Samsung price cuts on older Galaxy S8 series along with aggressive marketing and cashback offers, easy EMI’s amongst other factors drove sales for premium flagships.
● Top ten bestsellers are skewed either towards the premium segment or the entry level segment.

Add up the Apple phones on that chart and they have almost 10% of sales because of iPhone 8 Plus, 8, 7, and 6. I didn’t want an iPhone X because I don’t like the size and weight. I went for an 8. No one is buying an S9 instead of iOS. Android is still just horrible. No way I will ever use android again. Last time was note 2.

I never compared the older one to the new iPhone. I merely said I last used a note 2 and that android still blows compared to iOS. Learn how to read.

That's what happens when you combine a notch, no headphone jack and no fingerprint scanner.
