The Apple TV 2 has been hacked to inject third party software via an unreleased version of Greenpois0n.

P0sixninja posted the screenshot below to announced the accomplishment and said:

Yeah can't wait just bought one last week knowing they would make this little cheap device a great mediabox replacement

I didn't have to hack my cinematube and it plays all movie formats. And no hack will allow appletv to play 1080p. And no hack will give it usb ports. it's weak. Great job by the dev's but too bad about the hardware limitations. The only positive thing will be if they get apps working on it.
