RIM Demos the BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet [Video]

RIM has demoed their upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook at the Adobe MAX conference.

Business Insider was only able to catch a few minutes of the demonstration where co-CEO Mike Lazaridis showed off the Adobe-based UI and Flash web capabilities.

The PlayBook looks awesome, I think it'll be the first real competitor to the iPad, lets just see what Apple has in store for the iPad 2. On another note, does that guy in purple want to stop nodding...it's so distracting lol.

"No matter how many times a whale jump of the water, cause it never gonna live on land..." There will be a lot of competitors, good ones, but we must never forget that everybody will like to showoff their iPads, and listen "hey look theres an iPad", will you hear that about the Playbook or any other device? P.S. The good thing about iPads, is they are going to keep gettin better... like iPhones...

As much as i'm an Apple fan like yourself, I do realise that while Apple is the leader at the moment, they won't always be there. Just because everyone is ranting and raving about iPad's now, that doesn't mean they will be like that forever. Even though there are competitors out there now, none of them come close to the iPad, that's why I say the PlayBook will be the first "real" competitor because I believe it will be a huge success. Remember this, the biggest competitor to the iPhone is the Blackberry (some may say android but honestly...Android is an operating system, not a phone) so they are still market leaders in the business world. The USP of the PlayBook is that you can connect directly to your BlackBerry, and in turn have the same amount of security that the BlackBerry offers...that's a winner for a lot of people. The biggest factor for businesses not adopting the iPad is security.
