iDOS, a DOS emulator based on dosbox, for the iPhone and iPad, has been released on the App Store.
TouchArcade notes that the 'capabilities of this emulator is insane'. Users have been already been successful in installing Windows 3.0, Space Quest, Sierra adventure games, and more.
Just for an idea of exactly how deep the iDOS rabbit hole goes, and what the emulator is actually capable of: After blasting this link out to everyone I know, my friend Sam successfully installed Windows 3.0 and is currently playing Windows Solitaire on his iPad:
Features: - PC compatible soft keyboard - Mouse support - Screen mode: Portrait/Landscape/Fullscreen - You can force 4:3 screen aspect ratio - Customizable floating keypad for iPhone, and iPad fullscreen mode.
You can purchase iDOS from the App Store for $0.99. It's unclear if this was an accidental approval by Apple. You may want to download it quickly just to make sure.

If you're jailbroken, don't bother with Installous, you can add their repo in cydia and download it directly... and thus get updates.

Got it up and running on my iPhone now =)
