Microsoft is offering Geohot a free WP7 handset after he suggested their methods of dealing with hackers were a lot better than Sony's.

Linking to an Engadget article on the Windows Phone 7 jailbreak, Geohot writes, "perhaps a more appropriate way to deal with jailbreakers. I'm going out to buy a Windows 7 phone"

It seems Microsoft got wind of his statement and tweeted...

To all you people saying "Geohot doesn't have a twitter account" This had nothing to do with a Geohot twitter account.....Geohot put the comment on his website geohot.com and said: "perhaps a more appropriate way to deal with jailbreakers I'm going out to buy a Windows 7 phone" MS then added #Geohot to the comment.....And if you know anything about twitter thats a trend comment. If it were to his account it would have been @geohot :-P

As stated before, Geohot has no twitter account! Even if he did, what a insult being given a windows mobile! I'd rather be sent to jail than touch a windows phone
