Verizon will be charging subscribers an additional $20/month for use of the iPhone's new Personal Hotspot feature.
Verizon Wirelesss Executive Director of Corporate Communications, Brenda Raney, also confirmed pricing details about the mobile hotspot option the carrier announced at the Verizon iPhones introduction earlier this month.
Raney said that Verizon iPhone owners will be able to take advantage of the 3G wireless hotspot feature for an extra $20 per month on top of the iPhones required voice and data plansthats the same price that applies to current Verizon smartphone owners.
The Personal Hotspot feature lets your iPhone act as a wireless router through which other devices can use its Internet connection.

hahaha I had heard a good number of people saying how cool it was for the verizon iphone to have a hotspot. I knew it couldn't be free.
Then I showed them PDAnet (which is free so MUCH better than MyWi).
Also it was fun to see their bubble burst when I informed them that the special hotspot feature will NOT work if you are on the phone since verizon only does data OR voice at one time.

A hack a day keeps them pesky over drawn bills a way, hopefully we'll see a revamp of tetherMe to enable this :P
