A source inside U.K. mobile phone retailer Phones4U says the next generation iPhone will hit stores across the U.K. on November 21st, according to T3.
A November release would add velocity to the spate of rumours suggesting that the iPhone 5 will be unveiled in September 2011, doing away with Apples previously rigid annual summer release schedule.
This is the first specific launch date prediction; however, a September unveiling has been rumored several times by other sources.

Didn't Peter Misek of jefferies report recently that an Apple insider has stated that the next iPhone WILL be called the iPhone 4s. That said the full article on T3 goes on to say that this phone will be an upgrade of the insides not the outside.

What happened to the last rumor of only a minor upgrade release (iPhone 4s)?

uh, first no one knows if it will be called the iphone 4s or iphone 5. second this article says 'next generation' and no matter what its called it will be the next generation device. third, this article has nothing to do with a minor versus major update.
