Blogger Pat Phelan has posted a video of a 3G iPhone which has been successfully unlocked by SIMable.

Does not work! Mobile solutions 24/7 (providers of the 'solution') have withdrawn the iPhone from the list of phones SIMable can unlock and there is no further mention of it anywhere within their web site. Even the UnlockUK who had something on their web site dated 20th August and suggesting they had a solution for the 3G unlocking, removed that post. So, all hoax and nonsense!!

This SIM is poor! Didn't work more than two hour on my iPhone 3G. The worst sim card ever! I have rebel sim and this one took more than one day to lose signal.

Seems not to work here in Switzerland with Sunrise. Phone cannot receive calls, SMS are unreliable and no 3G data either. Any success stories? Might be a case for a lawyer...

Something looks fishy. When he shows the back the camera lens looks like it is a 2G iPhone with a third party 3G look alike case.
