Foxconn is now producing 150,000 iPhone 5 units a day, reports DigiTimes.
Lens maker Largan Precision, touch panel maker TPK Holding, reinforced glass supplier G-Tech Optoelectronics and battery vendors Simplo and Dynapack are all operating at full swing currently, the sources indicated. Shipments of iPhone 5 from the supply chain are expected to reach 5-6 million in September and top over 22 million units in the fourth quarter as suppliers will ship less iPhone 4 and CDMA-version iPhones during the final quarter of the year, noted the sources.
The site notes that Pegatron Technology has landed about 15% of iPhone 5 orders but may not begin shipping until 2012.

Usually a new device like iPhone is announced with a Keynote like 2G,3G and 4 ...3GS not be announced in a Keynote because not a major update
Maybe this rumored iPhone 5 to be an updated version of iPhone 4
