Some early screenshots of XiPhone have been posted online by iunlocked.org
----- We have been working hard on creating a new easy to use user interface around the XPWN tool. We are proud to present some of the first screenshots of this new Windows application. We are also asking for some input. Please post any ideas or comments on features, look feel whatever you like below. The ultimate goal for this project is to release a quality piece of FREE software that everyone can benifit from. While we have the utmost respect for for CMW and his work on WinPWN. The goal here is to take in the suggestions from the iPhone community and create a new Visual wrapper for XPWN. Some of the features we expect it to have are:
* Auto downloading of stock firmware files from apples site (no need to hunt for it then select it) * Wizard based modern GUI (created with .net 2.0), and Vista Style UI. * Export of firmware settings so users can pass around an XML file which contains a configuration that works for them. * Auto updates to the XiPhone software. * Community based wallpapers used for Bootscreen, Restore screen and others * Enabling / Disabling of options available based on the device you select.
Again we are looking for feed back on the featureset, and screenshots. If you have ideas on something you would like to see added to this please let us know. -----

that site should take down the ziphone download link in the download section and replace it with iLiberty+

Thanks a lot for announcing Auto downloading of stock firmware files from apples site (no need to hunt for it then select it)!!! That is a great idea. But if you think for the WHOLE world it will be much & more usable for us. We live in such country where internet speed is too slow. And electricity power failure occurs regularly. Firmware 2.0.2 is around 250MB (which is really big form our point of view) 250 MB file needs around 10 hours to download! So, if you give us an option to download necessary files before continuing (Auto Selection is must for who got better service) that will be great relief for us. It will be better if you think people like us.
Thanks again for your great job.

rofl mchealis, the so called "dev team" don't own everything to do with GUI's and jailbreaking you know. You don't need there "permission" lol. Learn the facts before you speak.
Looking forward to this.

I just hope that this is the last one. We dont need hundreds of apps doing the same thing. We will be needing better support for unlocked / jailbroken 3G iPhones. I wish the teams of all these unlocking sofware could somehow come together and create a good unlocking software. Becasue Im sure before you know it there is going to be another software afetr this one .... Pwnage >> WinPwn >> QuickPwn >>>XiPhone >>> AiPhone >>> BiPhone .. CiPhone etc etc etc
Maybe more focus should be on unloicking the iPhone 3G that everyone is waiting for, because pretty soon we gonna have FW 2.1 then theres another problem.

Give yourself some respect. It's the iPod Touch. Not iTouch. iTouch is software from Logitech.

PwnageTool: Custom firmware maker for the mac.
WinPwn: Same as above but for Windows.
QuickPwn: Jailbreaks without modding firmware (Like ZiPhone), for Windows only.

this is fantastic!! I still don't quite understand the differences between PwnageTool, Quickpwn, or winpwn, but Xiphone's interface and goals sound good!
