iH8Sn0w has updated Sn0wBreeze to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 which was released today.
sn0wbreeze v2.8 [BETA 11]: ● Supports iOS 5.0 (9A334)/5.0.1 (9A405) ● Fixed iBooks sandbox crashing issues (as of 2.8b9). ● Fixed location services issues with iPhone 3GS users running the iPad baseband (as of 2.8b9). ● Re-added iPad baseband install option to iPhone 3GS. ● Tethered devices are booted via iBooty which is extracted to the Desktop after running sn0wbreeze.
Really wish the dev team would stop encouraging people to RUIN their 3GS' by installing the retarded 6.15 iPad baseband for unlock purposes. The dev team is obviously in cahoots with Apple these days. It's been more than a year since they promised to release a tool to fix 3GS' with iPad firmware. No new baseband hacks either.
If you're a 3GS user, please avoid 6.15. It ruins the resale value of your phone and messes up your GPS.
I would still avoid the upgrade to iOS 5.0.1 if one wishes to keep the iOS Jail break. Fore the most part upgrading at this point has no significant advantage...waiting for the fully untethered jailbreak, http://www.nirhus.com Nir Hus
