PhoneIt-iPad, a package for the iPad 3G that adds phone and SMS functionality, has been updated to support iOS 5, reports Redmond Pie.
This hack by iPhoneIslam requires a SIM card with a voice plan and a jailbroken iPad 3G. You can find instructions on how to jailbreak your device here. Once jailbroken you must add the http://apps.iphoneislam.com repo to Cydia and install the PhoneIt-iPad package which will cost you $19.99.
You can see some screenshots and previously released video below. PhoneIt-iPad does not yet support the iPad 2.

actually not, because they have support for 4.3.5, but now they finally has support for 5, so I just update to 5.0.1 unlock it and now I have the phone working, just slip any sim from any company and works, I am still waiting the version for iPad 2, because of the bluetooth, but I must say that this works just great...
