Newly published carrier profiles indicate that Apple may release iOS 5.1 around March 9th, according to YourDailyMac. The site has reportedly discovered eleven new profiles that are compatible with iOS 5.1 and set to be released on March 9th.
The profiles that have been found by us are intended for operators in Japan, France, Greece, Finland, and Sweden. By updating the profile on the iPhone, it will make sure that the network connection will work correctly after Apple releases iOS 5.1. The iOS updates are normally rolled out at the same time worldwide, so everyone should expect iOS 5.1 to become available next month.
Apple has already seeded developers with three betas of iOS 5.1. The last one arrived on January 9th.

No they are not smart. They get all excited and update through iTunes when it asks them to. That's a simple step it doesn't require the skills jailbreaking does that's more comicated.

Look Steve, if people are smart enough to figure out how to jailbreak their phone they are smart enough to know to hold off until a jailbreak is released
