Apple CEO Tim Cook took the top spot in Glassdoor's 2012 list of the Top 25 Highest Rated CEOs.

Tim Cook, takes the top spot with a 97% approval rating. While many speculated how Cook would be received by employees and how he would lead the tech giant, he seems to have settled in quite nicely. By comparison, when Steve Jobs stepped down in August 2011, his cumulative rating was 97% approval, though his rating between March 2010 and March 2011 was 95%. One Apple Employee (Cupertino, CA) comments, "I think leadership is doing an amazing job. We have the best management team anywhere."

Cook is followed by Ernst & Young CEO Jim Turley (95% approval), QUALCOMM CEO Paul Jacobs (95% approval), and American Express CEO Ken Chenault (94% approval). Rounding out the top five is Google CEO Larry Page (94% approval).

The ratings are based on feedback from company employees who were asked "Do you approve of the way your CEO is leading the company?". In the last year over 280,000 employees rated their CEO on Glassdoor.
