MuscleNerd has announced that an upcoming version of RedSn0w will support restoring and allow for downgrade of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2/3 for those with SHSH Blobs saved.

Upcoming redsn0w supports restoring, including iPad2/3 and 4S downgrades (with blobs) http://twitpic.com/9ixsqv ..also stitches on the fly :)

As we noted earlier, this downgrade technique differs from the one discovered by iH8Sn0w. It does not use any Apple copyrighted code.

This will allow those with their SHSH Blobs saved to downgrade to iOS 5.0.1 for an untethered jailbreak.

hey I've been using spirit quite often since it came out, puts blkcraa1n to shame lol. But today I turn my computer on and it was automatically deleted and I can't download it for some reason. It says to save in a different folder and then says it can't be downloaded because you can't save in a different folder. Is there any way I can fix this? O and it says that the file was removed because it was detected as a trojan virus

Just to clarify: iPad 3 owners will be able to downgrade to 5.1 from 5.1.1, 5.2, 5.x with the next redsn0w release. Save your blobs now. iPad 3 owners will never downgrade to 5.0.1 EVER.

for the IPAD 3, this is helpful for ppl who saved their 5.1 shsh and updated accidently to 5.1.1. Overall this is good progress...

Hey i am a samy fan and have the orignal galaxy s but then i got the 4s and though you have some limitations apple has a premium feel to their products. I was really looking forward to the s3 bit its cheap plastic design and back looks just let me dpwn so mich that i dnt want it.. Hope iphone 5 will be sumthin new like iphone 4 was to 3...

Quick question ... Why dont they tell that after how many months will they be launching this stuff.? like the jailbreak for 5.1 was to be released way ago .. But here we are still getting f***in twitter updates about them .. Like wise muscle nerd should tel wen will this "next version" be launched?

Man stop takling shit... There's no way an iPad 3 can be downloaded to 5.01 unles it came with that ios and you have shsh and aptickets for that firmware....

You need blobs saved in order to downgrade. Considering there is no Jailbreak for any version of iPad 3, this redsn0w is of no use for iPad 3.

Wow, sad. I dont just "sit on my ass" praising Dev Team, I get involved and actually help people retain their current jailbreaks and give them info so they are ready for the next. And I have a GREAT life thank you. I'm not just spewing crap and telling the hard working devs to hurry up and feed me their product for free all the while bad mouthing them. Cheers mate.
