Sentry, the designer behind the popular Auxo tweak, has posted a new concept for iOS quick-app-switching.

This is a short animation mockup of an experimental app switching mechanism I was pondering the other day.

The concept is to allow for instantaneous app switching, via a simple swipe up from the bottom (splitting the screen). Without lifting your finger/thumb, you swipe to one of your (5-6) recently used apps, release, and jump into it in one swoop.

I like it a lot. I have Auxo too. The toggles are great but need colors. Look at my tweak of Auxo toggles at http://gillesblg.blogspot.be/2013/02/auxo-for-iphone.html?m=1

I Love it! Would be so easy to use with the thumb too! Please apple implement, I don't like the way it is now, it's so hard to reach with your thumb you have to bend it down too far making the phone hard to hold in one hand. This would solve it. Love it!

I hate iOS multi-tasking. I miss backgrounder (. .)
