Apple Retail Finds More Uses for the iPod Touch

In addition to the EasyPay iPod touch application used for checkouts, Apple Retail employees will be provided with at least three more exclusive apps.

AppleInsider has been told that these applications will accomplish a variety of tasks. One will allow employees to swap iPhones and iPods on the store floor which previously could only be done at the store's Genius Bar. Another would assist employees who work in the stock room. All the apps are designed to ease and simplify tasks.

Apple allegedly plans to roll out the proprietary software "very soon" across all of its stores, in both the U.S. and Europe.
