Police have executed a search warrant and seized the computers and electronic storage equipment of iPhoneNow.ca at a Port Coquitlam home rented by Joshua Trousdale. iPhoneNow.ca claims to have taken orders for 12,000 iPhones.
The search warrant was issued after a police investigation into complaints by consumers who said they paid hundreds of dollars for iPhones that never arrived. Trousdale was previously convicted of fraud in New Brunswick for a similar scheme involving the PlayStation2.
RCMP Cpl. Brenda Gresiuk said the investigation into iPhoneNow.ca is ongoing, and consumers should report any concerns about the company to the police.
